“This photo was taken on April 28, 2017 during the Warblers and Wildflowers Festival/Weekend down in Scioto County at the Shawnee State Forest. One of my favorite songs of Spring belongs to the Blue-winged Warbler and I knew one was close by as I could hear the “bee-buzz” continually get louder and louder as he made his way towards my camera. While waiting and waiting for an opening after watching him through some twigs, leaves, and other branches, I finally found him singing with nothing obstructing the view all while the afternoon sun was shining a spot light with the other leaves pointing directly down at him. An encounter I’ll never forget.”
