Education and Programs

What is education?  


It’s the prominent second half of our mission:

“…to promote the conservation and appreciation of birds and other wildlife through habitat preservation and educational activities focusing on the greater Cleveland community.”

With our own unique “outdoor classrooms” and the beautifully renovated Novak Education Center, we aspire to develop programs for children and adults that instill a love for nature and understanding of the principles of conservation and stewardship.

Bird Study Merit Badge

The Audubon Society of Greater Cleveland offers a Bird Study Merit Badge program in Aurora, OH. The program is led by a registered counselor for the Scouts BSA Bird Study Merit Badge.   More

Bird Counts/Walks, Monthly Field Trips, and Bird Breeding Survey

ASGC offers many opportunities to learn about nature and birds.  We have monthly “field trips”, Spring bird walks, and each year we conduct a bird breeding survey.  Learn more.
