Insect interactions high in the canopy of a forest have largely remained a mystery. To understand what’s happening in and above the canopy, one must visit it. Here, I focus on how accessing, quantifying, and inferring ecological interactions in and above the forest canopy alters our understanding of forest insect ecology and end with a participatory discussion on a novel project design.
