Field Outing – Waterfowl Wander

The drakes are decked out in their finest plumage and the hens are sizing them up. Some have made pair bonds others are in the process of mate selection so their competition is on. Join us on a caravan type tour of some of the ponds and lakes in southern Geauga and northern Portage County. Let’s see how many species are resting and refueling in our area on their journey north to the nesting grounds. Meet at the Ladue Reservoir boat ramp at the end of East Washington Street (see map) near Auburn Center with a full tank of gas and money for lunch at the end of our tour.
