Bank Swallows!
Field Trip

Have you seen a large Bank Swallow colony? These birds tunnel into a steep bank to build their nest, incubate their eggs and fledge their chicks. We are fortunate to have one of these colonies right in our Hach-Otis Sanctuary. Interestingly this is a view down on the colony instead of the usual wry- neck, up-gaze! Bring your camera for some unusual photo angles. Meet at the Hach-Otis Parking lot at the end of Skyline Drive heading east off of River Road in Willoughby Hills.
