Photo Contest 2017

Welcome Shutterbirds!

Entering the contest is easy.  Follow the instructions below, carefully and in order.

If you don’t follow these instructions, your photo will not be judged!

You must be a legal resident of the contiguous United States to enter.

  1. Read and understand the rules of the contest.  Pay special attention to the submission criteria.
  2. Pay a one time entry fee of $15 for the first three photos, combined with $5 for each additional photo to be entered, up to a maximum of ten. (Youth entrants entering into the Youth Division do not need to pay an entry fee.)  Payments will be handled via Paypal.  If you do not wish to use Paypal, you may mail your entry fee to ASGC, at the address below.  Entries open March 15, 2017.  Once the entry period begins, a link will be available here, to take you to the payment screen.
  3. Choose and properly size your photos, according to the contest rules. Adults may enter photos in any combination of categories in the Open Division. Youths will enter the Youth Division, or may, with payment of the fee, enter any combination of categories in the Open Division. Name your photos/files  with this format:
    LastName-FirstName-MiddleInitial-ID-Number.jpg
    IDs are N for Nature, B for Birds, C for Cell Phone, and Y for Youth.  Number is simply 1 for your first photo, 2 for your second, etc.  For more info and examples click here.
  4. Upload your photos/files one at a time.  Entries open March 15, 2017. Check here for the official entry form during the entry period.
